I notice for my makeup or beauty routine, I rarely have empties. It’s usually because I don’t finish using them and throw them out.
The most common thing I don’t finish and throw out would be moisturizers.
Moisturizers are one of the most essential product everyone should use (men as well okay!) and it doesn’t matter if your skin is dry, oily or combination. You must use moisturizers. Lucky us, there are many companies from all over the world that carries different types of moisturizers for different type of skin.
I am a bit of a combination skin; VERY oily T-Zone and dry on my cheeks and chin (my breakouts are mostly here)
So over the years, I had to find the right moisturizer that would do its job and moisturize my face enough that I don’t get dry patches and break out and at the same time not cause my T-Zone to get super oily.
After doing my research and testing brands out (I went from Ponds, to Garnier, to a local Malaysian brand and so many more) and I finally found the right one suggested by my close friends. They have been using it for years and at first I was reluctant to use it because… it.was.expensive. It is 50ml and costs you a nice RM150.
But then I was so fed up with my skin I decidedĀ to give it a go. Also after using it for awhile (my friend gave me a sample from her own tub) I realized that it was super lightweight yet my skin felt cooling and supple. And NO BREAKOUTS! Yay!
I finally bought the Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream...
You can definitely purchase them for much cheaper on Hermo.my or Althea. But the first time I bought it was from Sephora hahaha and even bought the wrong one (my life in a nutshell)
The product claims to be moisturizing for 24 hours and that it seeps through your skin layers to keep it moisturized.
What I love about it is that the it feels like a water droplet. Its like you’re spreading a coooooool water sack of goodness across your face. Even better if you’re rajin enough to put it in the fridge and keep it cool.
It absorbs into your skin and doesn’t leave your face feeling greasy. You know some moisturizer has that sticky effect? After you’ve rub them in, then you put a finger on your face and it sort of sticks… I hated that. I felt that made my oily skin even much more oily.
But most importantly, using the Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream… it doesn’t cause acne break out for me!!!!
That’s the main thing. My face breaks out so easily, but ever since I’ve used this product I feel like my skin is acting much more normal. I’ve started using it earlier this year and have went through 3 tubs of it. (RIP money)
But it’s something I am willing to spend money on, especially after trying to figure out the best products for my skin for such a long time.
Ps: Don’t forget to put moisturizer on your neck. You don’t want your neck to look old do you?!
